ABOUT US

Why DIGI Gem

What is DIGI GEM?

DIGI GEM is a platform for connection, visibility, and opportunity.

We connect underrepresented artists with paid opportunities—and we train communities in how to thrive with AI and digital tools.

Artists bring culture, truth, and transformation. DIGI GEM brings the stage, the tech, and the support.

Whether you’re a visual artist, performer, designer, filmmaker, writer, or community creative—DIGI GEM was made for you.

Our Team

DIGI GEM is led by a team of artists, dreamers, and doers who know what it means to create from the margins and still shine. We’ve lived the struggle of finding opportunities, navigating systems, and staying true to our craft. That’s why we built DIGI GEM—to flip the script and make sure artists like us are seen, celebrated, and paid.

We are creatives, educators, community leaders, and digital changemakers. Together, we bring decades of experience in the arts, tech, and grassroots organising. Our work is rooted in care, courage, and connection.

We don’t just talk about equity—we live it.

DIGI GEM is based in Manchester but built for everywhere. Our network is growing—and we’re always looking for collaborators, allies, and believers.

Vian Hussein

Vian Hussein

Lead Artist
My Name is Vian K. Hussein and I’m Kurdish. I’m originally from Syria, I’m 25 years old and I live in the United Kingdom. I’m Award-winning artist with a passion for creating immersive spaces and harmonious environments. Currently studying Interior Design at UCLan University and working as interior designer with The Fidget Interior Architecture in the Windermere. I am passionate about transforming spaces while prioritizing sustainability and accessibility. With a keen eye for detail and a love for aesthetics, I'm dedicated to honing my skills to bring creativity, functionality, and inclusivity into every project. After arriving in the UK, I decided to resume my education after a 10-year hiatus and join humanitarian and feminist groups to make a positive impact and support people, especially women. I took the path of ART to shed light on these war- issues on the ground and in the media internationally. Honoured in Germany for artistic excellence. Experienced participant in exhibitions across the UK and Europe within different topics, mainly modern-day war, feminism and politics. Paintings were on display in Burnley art gallery, Skelmersdale art network exhibition, Kernow transformed, the Whitworth art gallery in Manchester, the Kunstlinie centre in Netherland and the Holy art gallery in London. My work as both an artist and designer is driven by a deep passion for creativity and innovation. I strive to blend aesthetics with functionality, pushing the boundaries of my art to create pieces that resonate on both visual and emotional levels. With Art, I’m looking to share both mine and other people’s experiences that is the heartbeat of my creative practice. Also, a constant source of inspiration and exploration. I am dedicated to crafting pieces that challenge perceptions, tell stories, and evoke deep emotional responses, all while continuing to grow and evolve as an artist.
